I am a bi-racial bilingual female who loves spending time adventuring in the outdoors, playing various musical instruments, and enjoying quality time with my family. I have a big heart for helping people feel seen and heard, find hope amidst the struggles, and grow into their best selves.
My area of focus tends to be with the younger populations, as I am very passionate about youth and young adults. For the last 3.5 years, I’ve worked with several children and adolescents (aged 5-21), and their parents/caregivers, to help them improve their coping and communication skills. I meet individuals wherever they are, actively listen to their stories, develop appropriate therapeutic relationships and alliances with them, and journey with them through the inevitable difficulties life throws at us. I follow my client’s lead on where they would like to go and what areas they want to work on, while also challenging them as needed. I offer psychoeducation on evidence-based practices and techniques and present them in creative ways to help relieve unwanted symptoms and behaviors. My role really comes down to helping my clients help themselves.
